Cherries basking in late afternoon light from a window facing north. I recall the soft swooshing of the bristle brush on this canvas and my cat’s meow as he wandered in and out of the room.

I really enjoy still life as a device to express ideas of place, time, and memory. That being the case, I shouldn’t be surprised at feeling so nostalgic looking at this piece.
