This little study pleased me enough to frame and hang on my wall. Sometimes the loose quality and markings in preparatory work are more interesting than the finished piece. I don’t think that’s the case with P. Persica and its study. They have separate sensibilities; I like them equally, differently. Isn’t that what people say about their kids?
