In our culture one can’t avoid projecting eroticism onto visual representations of the uniformed schoolgirl. The imagery evokes taboos ingrained in the collective consciousness and perpetuated in pop culture.
For this little painting I focused more on gesture than detail to underplay the sneak peek at the undies. To what extent does the fact that I’m female modify objectification?
